Highlights
Kashid is popular mainly because of its white sand, blue seas, green mountains, paddy fields and rivulets. Kashid has a 3 km stretch of beach tucked in between two rocky hillocks with Casuarina groves all around the seashore. This is by far the best beach in this part of the Konkan region. The waves are unusually high and can be paradise for surfing. The waves can reach a height of 5-6 feet even during the non-monsoon months.

Sightseeing
The 3 km long Kashid Beach combines all the elements of a perfect beach holiday.
Murud Beach in the old fishing village of Murud, a few km away from Kashid is another option for beach lovers. While Kashid Beach has crystal clear blue waters, Murud Beach has clear green water.
Janjira Fort: Janjira Fort right in the middle of the sea is a sight-seeing highlight. Ferry boats are available to the fort.
Other places worth visiting include Nawab's Palace, GanapatiPule Temple and the beautiful Birla Temple.
Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary, 10 Kms from Kashid Beach is home to several types of birds, butterflies and snakes, as well as leopard, sambhar and barking deer.
Other places of interest include the Portuguese Revdanda Beach Fort, almost in ruins and the hilltop Datta Mandir, 8 km from Revdanda with sweeping views of the entire coastal belt.
